Grettis Saga - The Fight with Glámr
Grettir Ásmundarson, a man of extraordinary strength, is hired to protect a farm haunted by a wight. He eventually faces the undead shepherd Glámr in a brutal battle. Although Grettir triumphs, Glámr uses his final breath to curse him, leaving Grettir forever unlucky and terrified of the dark, which leads to his eventual exile and lonely death on the island of Drangey.
