A Comanche hunting party was pursuing a herd of antelope across the plains when a strange antelope with glowing eyes appeared. The lead hunter recognized it as a spirit messenger and halted the chase. The antelope led the party to a hidden spring where they found water, then traced a path around a dangerous canyon where enemy warriors lay in ambush. The hunter realized the antelope had saved them from both thirst and attack.
