Hushang Discovers Fire (Sadeh Feast)
The second king of the Pishdadian dynasty in Persian myth, Hushang, grandson of the first man Gayomard, one day hurls his flint axe at a serpent blocking his path. He misses the snake but the axe strikes a rock, producing a spark. Curious, the king strikes two flints together and creates fire deliberately — the first controlled fire in human history. He proclaims it a divine gift, makes fire his altar, and establishes the Sadeh feast to celebrate the discovery. Hushang also teaches humanity metalworking (fashioning axes, saws, adzes), irrigation, agriculture, animal husbandry, and fur clothing
