Isis and Osiris
The Osiris myth is the most elaborate and influential story in ancient Egyptian mythology. Osiris, a wise and beloved king of Egypt, taught humanity agriculture, law, and civilization. His jealous brother Set conspired with 72 accomplices to murder him, tricking Osiris into a chest which was sealed with lead and cast into the Nile. Isis, Osiris's devoted wife and sister, searched tirelessly for her husband's body. She found the chest embedded in a tamarisk tree at Byblos, but Set discovered the body and dismembered it into fourteen pieces scattered across Egypt. Isis sailed through the papyrus
