Menes-Antti's Adventures in France
An Inari Sámi humorous folktale collected by Koskimies and Itkonen about Menes-Antti traveling to France. He arrived in Paris in shabby clothing and went to a grand party building where he was almost thrown out. He overheard a king's daughter arranging a liaison, and pretending to be the suitor, he got into her bed. When discovered, he was paid 3000 gold talers to leave. The king's daughter became pregnant.
