Brer Rabbit, tired and hungry, finds his way to a creek where he sees Brer Fox and Brer Wolf fishing. Rather than asking for food, Brer Rabbit pretends to be a great fisherman himself. He cuts a willow branch, ties a string to it, and sits downstream, pretending to fish while actually eating the berries he finds nearby.
