Old Nick and the Pedlar
A struggling pedlar makes a bargain with Old Nick: he will sell all he buys, but if his bags ever become empty he belongs to the Devil. Business booms until a buyer (Old Nick in disguise) purchases the entire lot. The pedlar escapes by claiming Katie Grey is in one of the bags, and Old Nick—terrified of her—flees.
