Olobit (also called Olobis or Intsiyacdoo'cgu, 'sharp-breasted snake') is a monstrous serpent from Natchez folklore. Similar to the Cherokee Uktena, Olobit is a giant serpent with supernatural powers and a deadly gaze. It also has a sharp, breast-like protrusion on its chest that can impale victims. Olobit dwells in deep water or remote forests and is extremely dangerous to encounter. The serpent is associated with the underworld and the chaotic forces that the Natchez believed existed beneath the ordered world of humans.
