Onditichiae: The Thunder Beings
The Onditichiae are the Thunder beings of the Wyandot and related Tobacco Indians. They are a race of giant sky beings who control the storms. According to tradition, they were created to serve as the eternal enemies of all water monsters. Whenever a great serpent or underwater panther becomes too dangerous, the Onditichiae descend from the sky and hunt it down with lightning.
