Long ago, seven young Iroquois children loved to dance in the woods. Every evening they would gather in a clearing, singing and dancing even as others told them to stop. They refused to go to sleep or do their chores, so absorbed were they in their joyous dancing. The Creator, watching from the sky, decided to preserve their joy forever.
