Semetey: The Son of Manas
After Manas's death, his treacherous younger brothers Abyke and Bobosh seized power and tried to kill Manas's son Semetey. Kanykey, Manas's widow, escaped with the infant Semetey to Bukhara, where her father ruled as khan. Semetey grew up unaware of his heritage until his mother revealed his identity. He returned to the Talas valley on the magical horse Taytoru to avenge his father's death. Semetey defeated his treacherous uncles in battle and beheaded the forty companions of his father who had betrayed Manas. He married the beautiful Ay-Chürök, a swan maiden, and continued his father's legacy
