The Betrayal of Friends
Two lifelong friends living in different parts of Greenland maintain a deep bond by exchanging gifts of seal and reindeer meat. However, jealousy grows in one friend, who decides to curse the other by rubbing seal fat with a piece of a corpse onto the food he shares. The betrayed friend, warned by his tornak (protective spirit), falls ill. The curse eventually consumes the betrayer, driving him to madness and a murderous hunger for his friend, ending in a tragic death in a cave.
