The Chudes Are Tricked by a Boy Pathfinder
A recurring Sámi legend type (Christiansen ML 8000). A band of Chude raiders attacks a Sámi settlement and captures a young boy, forcing him to guide them to other Sámi groups. The boy leads the raiders along a dangerous mountain path. He ties a rope around himself connected to the raiders, then at a critical moment on a steep precipice, he unties himself and cuts the rope, causing the Chudes to pull each other down the slope to their deaths.
