The Eternal Chase of the Sun and Moon
Aningaut (the Moon) and his sister Malina (the Sun) are locked in a perpetual race across the sky. The conflict began when Aningaut marked Malina's face with soot. Furious, Malina fled into the sky, becoming the bright sun. Aningaut continues to chase her eternally, though he occasionally descends to Earth to hunt seals, explaining the phases of the moon.
