The Fox as Herdsman
A farmer hires a fox to be a herdsman for his sheep, believing the fox's promises of efficiency. However, the fox uses his cunning to deceive the farmer, stealing the sheep one by one while making the farmer believe the sheep are disappearing due to supernatural causes.
