The Lost Treasure
When enemies invaded Sweden, the people of Stenbrohult hid their treasure in a copper kettle sunk in Lake Möckeln, where it remains unreachable. A rich farmer buried his silver at Kalfhagsberg before dying suddenly. A poor cottager tries to retrieve it on a Thursday evening but fails when he breaks the silence by greeting a priest, and the treasure turns to birch-bark boxes.
