Long ago, the Maasai lived without fire, eating their food raw and shivering through cold nights. The only fire in existence belonged to the mountain god who kept it hidden atop a great peak. A brave young moran (warrior) named Ole Nailor volunteered to steal fire for his people. He climbed the treacherous mountain for days, facing snow, ice, and fierce winds.
