The Nommo Descend in the Ark of Sirius
After the Pale Fox disrupted creation, Amma sent the Nommo, twin amphibious beings half-human and half-fish, to restore order. They descended from the star Sirius (Sigi Tolo) in a spinning copper ark that traced a spiral path to Earth. The ark landed at the Bandiagara Escarpment in Mali, where the Nommo stepped out carrying the eight first ancestors of humanity.
