A young prince rides out in the moonlight and finds a tiny ring by the shore — a delicate band with blue stones arranged like a forget-me-not flower. He picks it up and puts it in his pocket. The ring belongs to a captive princess who, as a child, was taken from her mountain castle when a foreign conqueror killed her father and imprisoned her.
