The Rise of the Kraken
Sailors in the north often reported seeing a massive island of skerries emerging from the sea. In reality, this was the Kraken, a colossal cephalopod. The creature creates massive whirlpools as it sinks back into the depths, dragging entire ships down with it in a swirl of tentacles and foam.
