The Tale of Njunje Paggas
A Stállu tale collected by P. A. Lindholm and illustrated by John Bauer. Njunje Paggas is a Sámi hero who faces the Stállu in a battle of wits. The Stállu is a large, human-like creature who eats people. The Sámi hero wins through cleverness rather than strength. The Stállu's own knife must not be used against him, or he gains strength.
