When Mother Troll Took in the King's Washing

Troll Mother and her son Drulle live in a forest cottage where she does laundry for travelers. When a king builds a nearby castle for his queen and newborn princess, the lady-in-waiting hires Troll Mother to wash the royal clothes cheaply so she can pocket the difference. Troll Mother becomes enchanted by the beautiful baby clothes and begins stealing them, using a troll rhyme her son recites during counting to conceal the theft.
