Why the Executioner is Called Assessor

An executioner on his way to an execution discovers a robbers' den in the forest. After completing his duty, he tells the king, who disguises himself as a tramp and together they defeat twelve robbers. In gratitude, the king decrees that executioners shall be called 'Assessor' and treated with respect.
