Wolf Spirit and the Warrior's Vision
A young Comanche warrior went on a vision quest alone in the mountains, fasting for four days without water. On the fourth night, a Wolf appeared to him in a vision. The Wolf said, 'I am your brother. I will give you strength, courage, and the ability to track your enemies. But you must never kill my kind, for we are connected.' The warrior returned to his people with Wolf as his guardian spirit. He became a great hunter and warrior, always guided by Wolf's wisdom. This story reflects the Comanche belief in animal spirit guides who grant powers to individuals through vision quests.
